How to fall in LOVE with exercise

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

Take if from a professional dancer - Movin’ your butt ain’t always easy.

There are times you just won’t feel like it. That’s life.

But if you’re not too careful, you can become all too comfortable with a sedentary lifestyle and become part of the couch before you know what hit ya!

We all know that in order to prepare yourself for bikini season, you’re going to have to do more than just binge watch episodes of Will & Grace.

LET ME BE CLEAR: I’m not talking about preparing so you look good for others.

I’m talking about doing it so you feel good FOR YOURSELF.

THAT is why exercise is important.

You always feel good after you move. It’s just the gettin’ going part that can be hard sometimes.

So why do we resist something we know is actually good for us?

I have a couple thoughts:

1) Your exercise lacks GOOD music.

When you don’t like what you’re listening to, it sucks.

I remember my first attempt at a spin class I went to where the instructor kept all the fluorescent lights on and played ABBA the whole time - not even loud enough for me to hear over my panting, or even worse - my thoughts of ‘WTF am I doing here!?’

On the contrary, a good hype playlist makes EVERYTHING better. Don’t believe me?

Bust out your high school CDs and tell me you don’t turn into your most invincible rockstar 16 year old self..

Pick your music wisely.

As I always say: If it FEELS like a party, it IS a party!

2) Your exercise lacks variety.

Doing anything on a loop for long enough can get pretty redundant and boring. Especially in today’s world, we are bombarded with stimulus and cannot possibly be expected to want to do the same workout over and over again.

By mixing things up, you always keep things fresh and new and exciting to your brain.

3) Time is a factor.

How often have you been like, “I’d exercise...I just don’t have time?”

Guilty as well.

The trick is to have better time management:

  1. Look at your schedule.

  2. See how much time you actually have.

  3. Plan your exercise accordingly.

  4. Schedule that sh*t!

  5. Stick to it.

Short on time?

I’ll bet you’ve got 3 minutes. That’s all it takes for you to get a kick ass workout!

When you love what you do (and don’t feel stressed about time or rushed), it shows and it makes a huge difference.

You’ll actually WANT to exercise and you’ll enjoy the process so much more when you’ve got yourself all set up with the things I’ve shared.

Plus, you’ll begin to build genuine motivation to move, meaning you’ll be feeling like a boss babe in your favorite summer suit in no time!

I’ve created a free download to get you excited and motivated to regain your most rockin’ body and track your epic success.
