The Fun & Easy Way To Build A Long, Strong, Bombshell Body

Updated: Nov 5, 2020

Strong & Beautiful.

Ehh heem….

STRONG IS BEAUTIFUL.

When’s the last time you felt strong?

What about beautiful?

If you said anything less than right now, then we have some work to do.

Let me be clear - I’m all about having a rockin’ body, but not because a rockin’ body is beautiful….because being fit and healthy makes you feel good, and when you feel good, THAT is beautiful!

2 things that are super important to help you stay strong and feel beautiful:

Strength

Flexibility

Strength is important because it can help you manage or lose weight and increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Besides that, it can enhance the quality of your life and improve your ability to do everyday activities (and then some).

Flexibility improves mobility, posture, muscle coordination, reduces the risk of injuries and muscle soreness. It even contributes to being more in shape.

These 2 things also play a HUGE factor in your quality of life!

Both strength AND flexibility help you live a long, strong and fabulous life (not to mention keep you from being a creaky old fart who wishes they would have taken better care of their body while they still could 🤣!)

Why shouldn’t you have one without the other?

Building strength without flexibility means you can actually develop bad posture, alignment and habits that may lead to discomfort or even injury.

Working on flexibility without strength means you’re pushing your body to limits that could be dangerous if you don’t have the strength to support what you’re doing, which can lead to injury as well.

Both strength and flexibility are good for you, plus they also happen to help keep your bangin’ body bikini ready for that skimpy new suit you bought and are excited to parade around.

So how can you be strong and feel good without hating your life because you’re spending countless hours doing boring workouts?

#1) Make a lil time to move

Plan it, schedule it, and don’t bail! Put it in your calendar and make that ish happen.

Scheduling is everything! Grab this easy scheduler to help you:

#2) Pick the right movement

Choose something you actually enjoy so you’ll wanna stick with it! The most important thing is that you LIKE what you’re doing, so you’ll really do it!

So....what exercises are best for your body?

That depends on where you’re at in your journey. There’s no one size fits all, since everyone’s bodies are different. The most important thing you need to know is to listen to your body.

You want to give yourself a good push, but it’s equally important to know when to take it easy. You should never be in pain or feeling miserable. However, if you just feel sweaty and like you’ve kicked your butt, you’re probably doing a good job 🥵👏🏽

Always make sure to warm up before doing any kind of strength training or stretching.

Your recovery time is just as important as your workout (if not more so, in my opinion). This is the period where your body gets to reap the benefits of your epic work. Failure to give yourself appropriate time to rest and recover can result in strain, injury and more, so just chilllll a bit!

Here are some general pointers:

  • When doing anything on your feet, keep your weight in the balls of your feet, not your - heels. This helps with your alignment and you’ll feel a deeper stretch

  • When doing anything with straight legs, make sure to engage your quads (fronts of your thighs) to activate your knees and fully extend your legs

  • If you’re feeling discomfort in your knees: 1) engage your quads to pull up on your knees and 2) squeeze your butt cheeks. These two things will help keep your muscles, tendons and ligaments working together in alignment and most of the time eliminate knee pain

Ok superstar...time to get on with your best body and best life. You got this 💪🏽
